Deceiving domain - fres-news.com
Fres-news.com is an adware-related domain that aims to hijack web browser settings to deliver numerous ads while the victim is browsing online. After hijacking browser settings, an unwanted app starts changing mostly-visited sites to initiate redirects to sponsored websites and generate pay-per-visit income. Some redirects can also end up on survey sites or phishing domains.
To hijack system settings, an app urges users to click the "Allow" button for verification. When trying to change the settings back to normal, the browser helper objects, which are injected into the browser by an app once the approval is given, return these settings and the victim becomes completely disabled to get rid of an unwanted app.
