Deceiving domain - putlockers.bz

Putlockers.bz is one of the newer domains that is used by Putlocker - an online streaming site that allows users to watch TV shows and movies for free. However, the service has been banned in multiple countries due to copyright infringement issues, and multiple arrests by law enforcement were made since its establishment back in 2011. Additionally, the Motion Picture Association of America listed Putlocker as a major threat to the movie industry due to piracy issues.

Besides being only partially legal, Putlocker website copies allowed cybercriminals to use software vulnerabilities in order to insert malicious ads that can download and install malware on the site visitors' computers without any interactions. In some cases, users may accidentally enable push notifications to be shown on one of Putlockar's domains, which will result in pop-up ads and scam messages to appear directly on users' screen, even if the web browser is turned off.
