Tappdiscovery.tools is a domain that is appended to the web browsers (Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, MS Edge, Opera) as soon as the App Discovery Tools application is installed. This potentially unwanted program appends the URL in order to make users browse via a customized search engine that uses Yahoo's search-based capabilities. However, the presented results are not organic, and users will find several sponsored links at the top marked as ads. Because of this, they might be deceived into visiting websites that they initially did not intend to visit.
