Type: Browser Hijackers is a third-party search site that claims to improve the web browsing experience. However, it collaborates with third parties and is set to promote sponsored content. Although it's not malicious, experts classify it as Potentially Unwanted Application, thus leaving the user a choice to decide whether to use it or not. 

The search tool is being distributed as a component of Gsearch extension that is compatible with Macs and Windows. Typically, the extension is bundled with freeware and shareware, which is the reason why most people download it unintentionally. Right after the install, the replaces a default search engine, start page, and new tab URL. Besides, even if the user attempts to initiate a search via Google, the web browser automatically launched Gsearch results. 

There is no need to use search as it is not a reliable search tool. It may contain sponsored links and advertisements to increase advertising revenue. Moreover, it uses cookies that gather users' IP addresses and search terms.
